REGYMEN Fitness
continues to emerge as an industry leader in the boutique fitness franchising space, offering a variety of programming options that are set in a high-energy studio atmosphere to create the ultimate user experience. Now, the brand is partnering with GoodLife Fitness, Canada’s largest fitness company, to grow REGYMEN Fitness throughout the country.

GoodLife has secured the Master Franchise and development rights to Canada for REGYMEN Fitness. Launching at the end of September, the first REGYMEN Fitness studio will open inside of GoodLife’s Oakville Place location, with a second studio at the Windsor Dougall location just weeks later.

“Securing the exclusive rights to bring REGYMEN to Canada really amplifies GoodLife’s offering. We can now deliver a studio experience, with science-based, high intensity workouts, alongside all the services and amenities of our current GoodLife clubs,” said David ‘Patch’ Patchell-Evans, founder and CEO of GoodLife Fitness. “We’re investing to bring more world class fitness programming to Canadians at a time when we all need new options to be physically active.”

REGYMEN Fitness complements GoodLife Fitness’ current concept by offering blended high-intensity interval training, strength and weight training and boxing infused* offerings to its members to create a threefold experience taught by knowledgeable and inspiring instructors. Merging the three effective, fun and popular exercise methods has been an extremely successful endeavor in REGYMEN Fitness’ short history and is a concept that has been sought after by GoodLife Fitness members and employees alike.

“It’s a significant new offering for our members,” said Dan McDonogh, director of programming and performance with GoodLife Fitness. “REGYMEN’s combination of state-of-the-art technology and group-focused training really will be able to help our brand foster a deeper send of community in clubs in an entirely new and different way. We’re excited to be able to offer a small studio experience with bigger gym amenities to deliver the most value to members at each club location.”

Existing members of the health club have been eager to take advantage of the new REGYMEN Fitness amenities, with a tremendous response to presale memberships committed over the past five months despite the COVID-19 pandemic. And while excitement surrounding the partnership is high, safety is still a top priority for both brands. GoodLife Fitness’ Oakville Place club was built during the pandemic’s peak shutdown period, meaning its state-of-the-art design was constructed with the most up-to-date health and safety measures in mind.

The partnership isn’t just significant for GoodLife Fitness — it positions REGYMEN Fitness to grow exponentially in an entirely new, international market. For a brand that’s only three years old, joining a marketplace leader like GoodLife will make REGYMEN stand out as one of the more serious fitness franchises out there, putting them in line with concepts like Orangetheory Fitness and Oxygen Yoga and Fitness.

“For REGYMEN, it gives us validity,” EK Navan, co-founder of the brand. “When you have a team with the experience and leadership that Goodlife has — the third-largest global fitness brand — come to you and want to work with you and your product, it shows us we have something special here. This partnership will help us gain further exposure as a brand and feel respected as one of the best groups in the business. It’s a big learning opportunity for us.”

In addition to launching two initial locations in 2020, GoodLife Fitness plans to open locations in key Canadian cities including Winnipeg, Ottawa, Toronto and Calgary, and aims to have REGYMEN studios in all provinces within the next few years.

“This is the first step in really bringing our international footprint to the next level,” Navan said. “GoodLife has a significant global presence, and we’re thrilled to have such a strong partner to grow with internationally.”

REGYMEN will be introduced to Goodlife Fitness members as a part of the performance membership, the highest level of membership offered by the brand. For members who are looking to try REGYMEN classes before committing to the performance membership, packages of one, five or ten classes will be available for purchase.
