I cannot express enough how transformative my experience at REGYMEN Fitness has been. It all began when Tish Arnold offered the girls on our basketball team a chance to work out at her new facility during the summer of 2024. While my daughter was training, I found myself chatting with other dads outside REGYMEN, and we discussed the benefits of trying it out. For years, I had contemplated returning to a fitness routine, but the thought of the discipline required felt daunting, especially after suffering a severe elbow injury that led to surgery and a year of therapy.
Over the next few years, I gained weight and resigned myself to being overweight. As a coach, I felt a responsibility to lead by example, but I genuinely doubted my ability to commit to a fitness program due to my physical limitations, including ongoing knee pain from multiple surgeries. However, on June 10, I took the plunge and started with two workouts a week, quickly ramping up to five or six sessions. By the end of June, I made the decision to change my life. I weighed in at 239 lbs and measured 47 inches around my waist. With a combination of regular workouts and a new high-protein diet, I saw immediate results. My first goal was to reach 215 lbs by August 14, and I achieved that, losing 25 lbs in just six weeks. By September 1, I had dropped to 210 lbs and lost 6.5 inches from my waist. Fast forward to October 1, and I weighed 198.4 lbs with a waist measurement of 39.5 inches—an incredible total loss of 42 lbs and 7.5 inches in just three months. Today, I proudly maintain a weight of 195 lbs and a waist size of 38.5 inches, with a BMI of 23.7—placing me in the ‘Normal’ category.
The workouts at REGYMEN Fitness are invigorating, and the trainers are exceptional. I consistently burn over 1200 calories per session, and I’ve returned to my high school graduation weight. This journey has not only transformed my body but has also positively impacted my family. My wife, Kim, and youngest daughter, Ava, have joined me in this fitness journey, making it a family affair. REGYMEN Fitness has fostered an encouraging environment, and it has been heartwarming to see other families and friends getting involved too. Our basketball team often works out together, creating a sense of community and support.

In January 2023, I looked at a picture of myself and was shocked by how much weight I had gained. As an adult, I’ve always struggled to prioritize diet and exercise, often feeling intimidated by the gym environment where I never quite felt I belonged. However, everything changed when I joined REGYMEN on July 4, 2024. Little did I know I’d be facing ‘holiday workouts’ right off the bat, but I persevered. My husband and daughter had been attending for a few months, and their commitment inspired me to join in, hoping to make fitness a natural part of our family lifestyle. I wanted to instill healthy habits in my daughter that I never learned myself. Initially, I committed to 2-3 days a week, but over time, that dedication blossomed into 5-6 days a week. I began to feel stronger and more energized, sleeping better and becoming overall more active, even before seeing significant physical changes. Witnessing the development of my muscles has been a motivating force. What I cherish most about REGYMEN is the supportive community, where both coaches and fellow members uplift one another. I love that it’s a space where my family can work out together, striving for better health and building lasting habits. Seeing my daughter give her all in a workout and watching my husband reclaim his health fuels my determination to keep showing up and giving my best!
